Practical guide

How to turn an admin backlog into a manageable list

A practical way to choose a starting point and prepare tasks for support.

Write down what’s outstanding

Group the work into invoices, spreadsheets, documents, filing and follow-ups. You don’t need a perfect system to start.

Separate urgent from routine

Identify real deadlines and tasks that hold up other work. Keep these visible while routine filing waits its turn.

Choose one clear outcome

Instead of “sort out all my admin”, try “update this supplier spreadsheet” or “organise receipts for September”. A defined task is easier to quote and complete.

Agree on what done means

Confirm the period, source documents, expected output and deadline. For ongoing support, agree how completed work and questions will be communicated.

General organisational guidance. The work and records needed will depend on your individual circumstances.

Start with one task.

Tell me what’s outstanding. We’ll agree on a fee and deadline.
